Future Guitar Builds

Important change regarding future guitar/bass builds

Whereas in the past I have taken specific orders from customers for certain types of guitars, colour, fret size, level of distressing, etc. etc., I am no longer making guitars/basses to order, I will continue to make guitars and offer them for sale via the site when available.

The main reason for this decision is the fact that whilst most customers are/have been great and leave me to get on with the build, an increasing number seemed to need 'progress reports' every couple of weeks. It takes a lot of my time answering these emails, to the point where the build process is slowed down for everyone.
Additionally, I have had people chop and change their minds on various aspects of the build, sometimes every couple of weeks. Whilst I aimed to please, this is a timeconsuming practice I can do without.
Another factor is the 'timewasters', people who take up vast amounts of my time asking for quotes and information over several emails or telephone conversations, only then never to be heard from again.

The perfect solution to this is simply for me to build and offer guitars as soon as they are ready, they will then be sold via the site on a first come first served basis, I will not be operating any kind of 'waiting list'. A number of people have asked me to 'let them know' when a particular instrument is going to become available, this is not really practical and I would urge anyone interested in owning one of my guitars to drop by the site from time to time to see what's available.

I intend to offer a range of instruments, popular colours with various fret size and radius, distress levels. etc. just keep an eye on the site and if something that suits comes up for sale...let me know you want it as fast as possible!

As a rough guide I will probably be offering about 2-3 guitars a month.

Anyway, I apologise to anyone who would have liked to order a specific guitar but....., due to the failure of a small number of people to respect my time, this decision has been implemented.

All the best,
John
